   At Art of Jewels we understand that anyone who orders anything from the Internet is concerned with privacy and security.  Our technical gurus have taken security very seriously during the design phase of our online boutique.   All purchasing information is entered onto a secure server when you shop with Art of Jewels.  This means that your personal information will not be seen by any unauthorized persons.

   As an added precaution, we will never transfer sensitive information via email and we do not store any credit card information on our website.

   We take your privacy seriously and as such, we will never exchange or sell our customer database to any third party.  Any information that comes to Art of Jewels stays with Art of Jewels.  Our secure system will give you peace of mind while shopping for exquisite jewelry from the comfort of your own home.

3. What about credit card security?
   

   We take your concerns about Internet security very seriously.  After all, reputation is everything on the Internet. We have decided to take the strongest security policy regarding credit card processing.  Most e-commerce companies are not capable of 100% securing your credit card information.  But large financial companies are able to provide this level of protection.  That is why we do all our credit card processing through PayPal.

   When you place an order, you will be taken through an encrypted session to PayPal’s payment site, where you can use your credit card or PayPal account to pay for your order.  Please note you do not need to create a PayPal account, you can simply use your credit with PayPal acting as the processor.  Once you have completed your payment on PayPal, you will be brought back to our site. The advantages of this model are:

   • Your sensitive financial information is securely processed by PayPal which is compliant with international PCI standards.  Paypal is a huge company, with the expertise and resources to secure your sensitive financial information.
     
     
   • We receive payment from PayPal without ever seeing or storing your financial information.  This results in a much greater protection from identity theft.

   The e-commerce industry is trending towards this model because it becoming harder to ensure the safety of stored financial information.  We are an early adopter of this paradigm.
