Glamour was the name of the game at the Oscars this year. Gone were the days of austerity (by Hollywood standards anyway) marked by simple gowns and minimal jewelry of the past few shows. This year the jewelry and the dresses were divine. Here's our rundown of the top 10 best-dressed and how to interpret their jewelry looks for every day and budget.
The Fairest of Them All
The biggest noteworthy trend in jewelry was the bold stud as seen on Charlize, Jennifer and a host of other beauties. We're not talking about simple little studs here. It's been a long time since the stud earring was seen at a formal event, and it's been sorely missed.
Try a large floral stud in luminous white sapphires on any formal outfit for a refreshing change from chandelier earrings.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah's dress was not for everyone, but we give her thumbs up for the arm-full-of-bangles trend she was sporting. This look is easy to achieve. Just find a bunch of colorful, embellished bangles and wear them on one arm. Most of our bangles pictured here are $99 or less! 
Penelope Cruz
Penelope always looks beautiful in her classic Ralph Lauren style. Her long dangle earrings were the perfect accent to her classic look. Kristen Stewart

We have a soft spot for our 80's princess. Her dress was a divine satin eggplant number worn with bold gold jewelry. Though we didn't like the gold spiral at her waist, she was sporting one of our favorite jewelry trends - very yellow gold.
Her outfit would have been even better with our Eastern Queen Drops in 22K gold plating over sterling silver set with sparkly white, green and burgundy gems. If that color combination isn't an homage to the 80's, we don't know what is!
